The average drinking water coverage is 81.1% with a standard deviation of 19.0%. The highest value is 100% (several countries), while the lowest one is 13% (Afghanistan).

This figure estimates the percentage of the population which has access to improved drinking water sources. Improved drinking water sources are those which likely provide safe drinking water.
