The United States are the biggest economy in the
world. Both in population and area, they are ranked number three in the
world. The living standard is very high and also the unemployment rate
quite low. The economic activity rate is also ok.
The life expectancy of 77.3 years is quite good, however, not that good
compared with other developed countries. Also the HIV rate is quite good
compared with the world average, but not compared with other developed
nations. Drinking water and sanitation coverage is excellent. The USA
are the biggest polluter of GHG in absolute terms and also on a per
capita basis their emissions are very high. The education system is
quite good with an average school life expectancy of 16 years and a
tertiary education enrolment rate of over 80%.
