United Kingdom (Great Britain) is a member of the European Union. It has almost 60 million inhabitants and an area of about 240,000 km˛. It is one of the biggest economies and the world and the living standard is very high. Furthermore, it has a low unemployment rate. However, the economic activity rate is not very good.

British people live more than 78 years on average, which is very long. Also the HIV rate is very low. Like most developed countries, the GHG emissions are big. The average school life expectancy is 17 years, which is a very good value. A tertiary education enrolment rate of about 60%, however, is not that high.
