Mexico is a big Latin American country with a population of about 108 million inhabitants. Although the GDP per capita is below world average, Mexico is the 11th largest economy in the world. The economic activity rate is quite low, while the unemployment rate is very low.

The life expectancy is at about 75 years. There is still a lack a good drinking water and especially sanitation conditions, while the HIV rate is quite low. In addition, the GHG emissions per capita are also not that high. The school life expectancy of Mexicans is above world-average and the literacy rate of the Mexican youth is quite good. On the other hand, however, the tertiary education enrolment rate is very low.
