Greece, member of the EU, has about 11.1 million inhabitants and an area of 132,000 km². This means that Greece is a middle-sized country. In spite of this, their economy is quite big and the GDP per capita is above world average. A negative side of the Greek economy is the very low economic activity rate and also the unemployment rate is not that good.

The life expectancy in Greece is very long and the HIV rate is very low. On the other hand, the GHG emissions on a per capita basis are quite high. From the displayed statistics, it seems that the Greek education system is very good. The school life expectancy is very long with 16 years. The literacy rate for the youth is quite high. Furthermore, the tertiary education enrolment rate is very high.
